Set in a quiet pocket of Wangaratta, the McCardel Project is a custom new build home of relaxed, contemporary character. Light weatherboard cladding and a gabled portico give the façade a classic Australian street presence, softened by clipped hedging and a considered approach to landscaping.
Inside, the home opens into generous kitchen, dining and living spaces anchored by a freestanding wood heater and finished in a warm, restrained palette — white cabinetry, oak-toned flooring, grey subway tiling and woven rattan pendants. Plantation shutters filter the light throughout, while a covered alfresco extends the living area out to the garden for year-round entertaining.
